REACH Compliance
REACH is the Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. It entered into force on 1st June 2007. The goal of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances.
Effective January 15, 2019 new substances previously proposed for addition to the SVHC candidate list have now been officially published.
Rolled Steel Products/ E & E Steel Company products; meet the REACH definition of an Article. Articles are exempt from REACH unless they contain any SVHC’s (Substance of Very High Concern) exceeding 0.1% by weight. Rolled Steel Products/ E & E Steel Company uses materials and processes that assure that none of the European Chemicals Agency’s currently identified 197 SVHC’s, in excess of 0.1% by weight, are intentionally added in any of our products / articles. Therefore, the products we sell to our customers is in compliance with REACH and is not required to withdraw any product because of registration concerns.
